A great project and a huge transformation, which made me realise, how much can be achieved by refurbishing instead of optioning to move. As an interior designer based in Brighton, it’s not often that I have the opportunity to design a sea front house. Most sea front properties in Brighton and Hove are flats, but we have miles of coastline, so there are some great refurbishment opportunities out there. I’ve included a before and after image, as I still have to look twice at this place and those amazing windows really soak up the incredible view. 1920/1930 builds don’t look great, but have huge potential, generous room sizes and good sized gardens. On this project, we started by talking to planning and once we were clear on the restrictions we started the interior design of an beautiful open plan layout. We prepared a full set of interior architecture drawings, that then went to a structural engineer, so he could prepare all the relevant calculations for us. Once structural was clear, the drawing project was completed and one of our partner build companies made it happen. I can’t stress more, how much you will gain from getting professionals involved, in project efficiency, saving you time and money and it’s so important to know exactly what you want, before the works starts. This has been a great success story, if you want to know more, please don’t hesitate to get in touch !
