1. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR INTERIOR DESIGN STYLE?
At Pisani Designs we don’t specialize in one particular design style. Whether it’s traditional, contemporary or an eclectic interior design style, what we do is find inspiration from our clients and what they enjoy. We will advise you to do some research and suggest sites where you may find a look and style that you like. While many interior designers only work in one particular style, we believe that your home is as individual as you are.
2. HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR YOUR INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICES AND CAN YOU WORK WITH MY BUDGET?
When hiring an interior designer, budget questions should come into the conversation at the very beginning. It doesn’t benefit anyone to start working on a home, only to find out the budget is too small. Discussing budget early on will enable the interior designer, to plan your design based on your budget parameters. At Pisani Designs before design work has started, we can guide you on budget expenditure, based on what you are hoping to achieve.
3. WHAT INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
This is an important question for a couple of reasons. First, you want to make sure you’re working with an interior designer that specializes in the services you need for your project. For example, you may only need furnishings in your new home, but have no idea where to start. At Pisani Designs we have good working relationships with furniture manufacturers and a lot of experience in space planning and interior architecture. We feel it’s crucial to pre plan your space first before buying furnishings, focusing on how you want to use the space and working with you to achieve that.
It’s best to consider all the services you would like to have in order to make your home feel complete. But it’s also important to listen to the interior designer as they may have a fantastic suggestion that you haven’t thought of yet!
4. HOW DO YOU PRESENT YOUR INTERIOR DESIGN CONCEPTS AND IDEAS?
Our interior design process works like this.
- INITIAL MEETING
All our interior design projects begin with an initial meeting and discussion to identify our client’s needs and style.
- INTERIOR DESIGN CONCEPT
Our team creates a room-by-room concept statement that guides the overall design direction of the project. This includes visuals and floor plans
- DESIGN DETAIL
We present fully developed design ideas for the project and if any revisions are necessary, they’re shown in a follow-presentation where the final design is selected and signed off. At this stage the design detail is sufficient for a build contractor to follow and quote on, should build work be part of the project scope.
- PROCUREMENT & INSTALLATION
Once the design is finalised, our team orders your new furnishings, fixtures, and accessories. We can also organise delivery and installation if you require a turnkey service.
6. WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T LIKE THE DESIGN?
This happens from time to time so this is a crucial question to ask at the first meeting with any potential interior designer. The initial design presentation could be a huge hit, but sometimes, it’s not. Don’t let this discourage you. At Pisani Designs we have always been able to overcome those issues in subsequent design presentations and discussions. Stay open-minded, prepare yourself for some design risks, and be honest with how you’re feeling. At the end of the day, this home is yours. It should speak to you.

When you are looking to employ and interior designer, it’s important to hear about their past projects, experience and client satisfaction. 9. WHAT BUILDERS/ARCHITECTS/CONTRACTORS DO YOU WORK WITH?
It’s good to have an understanding of what other professionals your interior designer can introduce into your project. Having worked on a wide variety of projects over the years, from small renovations, to full new build homes and historic building renovation we have been fortunate to collaborate with good architects, building surveyors, structural surveyors and builders. Like minded professionals who we feel confident will enhance your project.
10. WHAT KINDS OF CLIENTS DO YOU LIKE TO WORK WITH?
Everyone has their ideal client, and you may have an ideal vision of the type of interior designer you want to work with. Being honest and decisive will put you on the path to design success. At Pisani Designs we would answer the question this way: “Our ideal client appreciates good design and planning and is too busy to tackle a full-home project (renovation or new construction) on their own. They bring us on board to manage all aspects of the process, are open to new ideas, trust our judgment, and appreciate that we handle everything for them”. We love to work on entire homes, historic renovations and new constructions.
